Creator God
Opening Responses
In the beginning, God spoke into darkness,
and the Word brought forth light and life.
Creator God, let your Word speak to us.
Into our emptiness, may your light shine.
For six days, God spoke.
The heavens were filled with wonder,
and the whole earth was transformed.
Creator God, use us as you continue your work.
May our lives reflect your glory and praise.
God gave people the ability to build up and tear down,
and the freedom to choose their own destiny.
Our hearts belonged to God,
but we filled them with lesser things.
Creator God, fill us with your Spirit,
and help us to live each day as your Holy people.
On the seventh day God rested,
and declared that all creation was good
Creator God, help us to follow
the pattern you have set.
May our words bring good things into being.
May our actions produce fruit that will last.
May our choices result in reconciliation,
And may we find peace when we look back
at the time you have given us. Amen.
Psalm
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,

We place this day into God’s hands…
God of creation,
help us to speak words
that bring life and healing.
Forgive us when we lose our way…
But when we do,
help us to hear your voice once again.
Fill our hearts with love and compassion…
So that we discover you
in everything you have made.
Help us to treat your gifts with respect…
And use our time wisely
for the sake of the kingdom.
May God be with us,
and keep us true to our calling. Amen.
